Ricardo Costa is from Aveiro and has been Executive Chef at The Yeatman Hotel since 2010. It is under his leadership, that The Yeatman Gastronomic Restaurant has won two prestigious Michelin stars.

An avid enthusiast of Portuguese gastronomy and with extensive experience in hotels and restaurants, Chef Ricardo is known for his contemporary approach and innovative techniques and brings this know-how to Mira Mira by Ricardo Costa, the latest project to carry his signature.

As an individual, he has been honoured with important awards such as “Chef of the Year” (2009), by the renowned Portuguese magazine Wine, “Chef de l’Avenir” (2012) by the International Academy of Gastronomy, “Best Chef in Portugal” (2013), at the Arco Atlântico Gastro awards in Spain, and ‘Rising Chef Trophy’ (Revelation Chef) in 2017, by Relais Châteaux. He was a member of the jury of the Top Chef program in Portugal in 2012, was a guest chef on the two editions of Hell’s Kitchen Portugal 2021 and 2022, and was on the jury of Masterchefe Portugal in 2022.
